Since 1926, we have been guided by the motto:
"we serve," locally, nationally, and internationally, wherever there is a need.

Our Mission

Lions are known as "knights of the blind;" our primary mission is programs and services for the blind and visually impaired. We aim to eliminate preventable and reversible blindness, but we also participate in more wide-reaching community health programs and projects. We are once again the recipient of the Certificate of Excellence Award 2025 from Lions International for focusing our efforts each on the Environment, Youth, Diabetes, and Hunger.

Our Foundation Supports

  • Free eye exams and glasses for Summit school children that qualify

  • Camp Marcella of NJ for the blind and disabled

  • Eversight New Jersey-providers of corneas

  • Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) for Environment, Youth, Diabetes, Pediatric Cancer, Hunger and mental health projects worldwide
